Wilkinson & Partners are an independent firm of accountants located in the Clifton Area of Bristol and act for clients both in the south west and across the country.

Why do I need an accountant?

Many small businesses may decide that they do not need or cannot afford an accountant and are able to complete their own accounts and deal with the revenue themselves. This can often be a false economy as they find themselves paying more tax than is necessary or falling foul of the authorities.
It is not just businesses that can benefit from the advice of an Accountant. There has been a huge increase in the numbers of buy to let properties and landlords need to be aware of the tax rules and regulations that apply to them.
The rapid increase in house prices had taken the value of many people’s estates above the inheritance tax threshold and substantial tax liabilities may arise. By careful planning these potential liabilities may be minimised.

This specialization allows us a greater depth of knowledge within the office and this is reflected in the service that we are able to provide.

How much will it cost?

Unfortunately, due to the type of work involved it can be very difficult to advise you of the likely charges without knowing something about you and your business.
Our costs are based upon the time taken and the level of work involved. If you are in business then the way in which you keep your records will play an important part in determining the likely costs.
Where possible in an initial meeting with you we will discuss the likely fees and if appropriate may be able to agree a fixed fee with you and we can agree for payments to be made monthly by standing order to help spread the cost.
