Wilkinson and Partners have made an exciting move in their 30th anniversary year and acquired the business of Balson & Co following the retirement of founder, Keith Balson.
Balson & Co has been providing a full range of accountancy, business and tax services to the Bristol small business scene for over 30 years.
Owner, Keith Balson, wanted to ensure that following his retirement the business' clients would continue to receive a first class, personal service from trusted professionals. Wilkinson and Partners was the perfect match.
“There was a lot of synergy between the two businesses, so it seemed a natural fit for our growth plans,” explains Phil Jones, Director at Wilkinson and Partners.
“With Making Tax Digital on the horizon, accounting has changed a lot in the last two years and will continue to develop at a fast pace, and we are well placed to take Balson & Co's clients through the maze of getting ready for this.
We are really pleased to be able to offer the same accountancy services to Keith's client base, but they will also benefit from more resource and additional expertise. It's an exciting time for everyone and we look forward to a strong year ahead.”
The three directors of Wilkinson and Partners are Ann Wilkinson, Phil Jones and Rachel Baker.
Going forward the two businesses will now trade from larger offices on Jacobs Wells Road.
